Shannan Brommer to Join the Consortium as Executive Director

Exciting News

The Omaha Catholic School Consortium Board of Directors is pleased to announce Shannan Brommer as the organization’s new executive director. Brommer’s duties will begin on Nov. 1, 2023.

Brommer joins the Consortium following a strategic expansion of the organization’s leadership to help it best serve our six southeast Omaha elementary schools for the next decade and beyond.

Current executive director, Mike Goetz, will become the Consortium’s Director of Finance and Operations, a newly created position, after he expressed a desire to the Consortium Board to move into a part-time capacity.

About Shannan

Shannan Brommer has more than three decades of experience in relationship-building, development, donor relations, enrollment management and communications. Since 2011, she has served as the Director of Stewardship and Advancement for the Archdiocese of Omaha, leading countless initiatives to enhance Catholic education across the archdiocese. Her commitment to education also includes service on the Consortium Board of Directors since 2016.

Prior to the archdiocese, Brommer served as Director of Advancement at Marian High School as well as owning her own communications consulting business. Shannan and her husband are parishioners at Our Lady of Lourdes parish in Omaha.

“We are grateful for Mike’s leadership and continued service and elated to welcome Shannan Brommer as our next leader,” said Tammy Blossom, Chair of the Omaha Catholic School Consortium Board of Directors. “Shannan is a proven leader with a deep understanding of our six schools and the students we have the privilege to serve. The expertise she brings coupled with her passion for Catholic education make her the perfect fit to lead the Consortium as we work to reach new heights in the next decade.”

“I am deeply honored to have the privilege to lead the Consortium, whose students and mission are dear to my heart,” Brommer said. “I look forward to the opportunity to work with the Consortium’s talented educators, principals, staff, Board of Directors and supporters to secure an even brighter future for our innovative schools.”

In the Consortium’s expanded structure, the leadership team will include the new Director of Finance and Operations position, the existing Education Director, Andrew Bauer, as well as the Advancement Director and Marketing Director positions, both of which are currently vacant.

The Consortium schools have a strong tradition of exceptional education and formation of students in the Catholic faith,” Archbishop of Omaha George J. Lucas said. “I remain confident this tradition will continue to bless families in southeast Omaha for generations to come.”
