Get to Know: Kathy Neville, Holy Cross teacher
In a continuing effort to get to know more about the students and staff who comprise our Consortium schools, we ask them to tell us more about themselves so we may grow with and pray for each other as a large school and faith community.
Enjoy the bio below about one long-time Holy Cross teacher.
Kathy Neville, Holy Cross
My husband, Josh, is a fire captain for Papillion Fire Department. I have three sons: one in college, two in high school. I also have two beagles.
I grew up in Hastings, Nebraska, and I got my teaching degree from University of Nebraska Kearney and my masters degree from University of Nebraska-Omaha. I taught third grade for four years in Phoenix before coming to Holy Cross, where I’ve been teaching for 15 years.
Once, a third grade student I taught in Phoenix was trying to fail third grade just so he could be in my class again. It’s the best compliment I have ever received!
My favorite part of teaching is being able to spend days with the best kids in the entire world! I believe Catholic education is invaluable.
When not at school, I love playing tennis and walking my dogs. I would eat chocolate for breakfast, lunch and dinner if it wasn’t bad for me.
