Consortium Teachers Receive 13% Raise Effective Immediately

As teachers head back to school, we are thrilled to announce a 13% salary increase for all teachers, effective August 2024. This raise reflects our desire to support and value the 88 dedicated educators who shape the minds and hearts of our students across our six Catholic schools.

At a time when teacher retention rates across the nation remain low, Consortium schools stand out with a 92% teacher retention rate coming in the new 2024-2025 school year.

“Our teachers dedicate themselves to Catholic education, and we are pleased to be able to incorporate such a significant raise. We value our educators and believe that fostering a positive, supportive and collaborative culture for both staff and students sets our six schools apart,” said Shannan Brommer, executive director.

“The ability to maintain a remarkable teacher retention rate is a clear indicator of a dynamic and engaging educational environment.”

A Collaborative Spirit

To kick off the 2024-2025 school year, staff from all six Consortium schools–Dual Language Academy, Holy Cross, Our Lady of Lourdes, St. Bernadette, Sts. Peter and Paul and St. Thomas More–gathered together for a special staff training day on August 6, 2024. The day included Mass, professional development and also served as an opportunity for our educators to connect, share insights and build camaraderie.

To further strengthen this supportive culture, the Consortium will introduce new built-in staff collaboration days throughout the school year. These changes to the academic calendar ensure teachers have more regular opportunities to unite, exchange ideas and continuously enhance their classroom experience.

“We are deeply grateful for all who bring their passion to serve our Catholic schools every day.  It is our hope that this salary increase, combined with our ongoing commitment to professional growth and collaboration, will deliver an ever higher quality, faith-based education for all our students,” said Brommer.
